Challenge Your Senses - on the Beaches of Encinitas

Encinitas is an enchanted small beach community in Southern California, about 26 miles north of San Diego. It is known globally as a town of yogis and organics.

It boasts a wide variety of nature and trails that exhilarate your senses. In the middle of town is a one-of-a-kind 35-acre park (San Diego Botanical Gardens)where you can walk through rare bamboo groves, desert gardens, a tropical rain forest and native Californian plants.

The beaches of Encinitas are the best hidden gems in Southern California, true surfer meccas with white sand and rugged bluffs. During low tide you can walk for miles to the north or south, until you reach the neighboring towns.

Moonlight Beach is the most well-known beach, and has recently received a complete modern face-lift. It is the easiest beach to get to and offers free parking and easy access.

Swamis is the most popular surf break beach and also has some free parking, along with an eight-story staircase down to the beach itself. The

view from the top is amazing: a treat for your senses!

To the north is Beacons Beach, with its own vibrant surf scene. It has free parking and is in a residential neighborhood that is eclectic and authentic SoCal.

The southernmost beach is Cardiff State Beach, which has paid parking and is the easiest of all beaches to access. You can pull right up to the sand and take a walk or watch the sunset with unobstructed views. Just breathing in the ocean air is refreshing and healing...

The more you get to know and experience Encinitas, the more it will draw you in, until finally it's love, pure and simple.
